For researchers and research communication teams
A video abstract that sounds like you.
Your journal asked for a video abstract, or your institute wants your paper explained to people outside your field. We film you in your lab, help you say it in plain words, and you approve every sentence before it goes out.
The rules are not the hard part
Journals set the rules: length, file format, size and where the video appears. Your author guidelines spell them out.
What they do not tell you is how to explain a paper on camera without reading your slides. That is where most video abstracts lose people: correct, but hard to watch to the end.
How we film it
- We read your abstract and agree the plain-language version with you: the question, what you found and why it matters.
- We film in your lab or office, with your work in the frame. Tomáš prepares you before the camera rolls, and you can repeat any answer.
- We cut to your journal's limits, add captions, and you approve the final wording, so the science stays correct.
What you get
- A researcher explains the work and why it matters
- Footage from the lab or the field
- Short cuts with captions
- The researcher approves the wording

What length do journals want?
Each journal sets its own limits in its author guidelines. Send us the link and we cut to them.
Does the researcher approve the wording?
Yes, always. Nothing is published until you have approved the final cut and the captions.
Can you film in our lab?
Yes, that is where it works best. The set takes about 30 minutes, and we agree access and safety rules with you before the shoot.
